Gotta love Chinese websites and how much stuff they leak ahead of time.
In case you haven’t heard from prior leaks, the HD7750 and HD7770 is expected within the next coming days, and it seems like Chinese VR-Zone couldn’t wait for launch day to release some benchmarks. That means, lucky for us we get to take a first look at how this card stacks up when compared to the current generation. Excited!
So, long story short, they’ve got a couple screenshots of GPU-Z, 3D Mark 11, some games, and pictures of their power meter. From GPU-Z we can see that the Radeon HD 7770 is using the new 28nm Cape Verde GPU (1GHz Core and 1.125GHz Memory), 640 GCN stream processors, 1GB of GDDR5, and a 128-bit memory interface. Additionally, according to VR-Zone’s benchmarks, we’re looking at a 3D Mark 11 Performance score of P3535 and a Extreme score of X1112 putting it squarely somewhere between the older generation HD6870 and HD6850. What’s most interesting though is some screenshots of the power draw. This card is apparently able to perform at such a high level while only drawing around 86w. Impressive… Drop it down to 75w and it might not even need that 6 pin connector!
Anyway, I didn’t feel like linking all the pictures over, so I’ll drop a link over to the site if you’re interested. I can’t wait for these new cards to be released!
