As we all know from the leaked roadmaps earlier, the AMD Radeon HD 7800 series is expected next month (March), and as usual we’ve got our first round of spec leaks floating around the interwebs.
Today’s leak comes from none other than EXPreview, who has some pretty detailed specs on AMD’s new line of 28nm GCN (Graphics Core Next) GPUs. The new HD 7800 line will include both the HD 7870 and the HD 7850 which we know is planned for a March 2012 release. What’s interesting is that EXPreview is also reporting an additional high end HD 7800 series graphics card dubbed the HD 7890, which is expected to be released in Q2 which will be based off the Tahiti GPU.
Anyway, here’s what you’ve all been waiting for. I’d expect benchmarks to be leaked sometime soon, so keep your eyes peeled. Looking at the specs and the pricing, the HD 7800 series will probably be the price/performance leader for the HD 7000 series.
