AMD’s HD 7970 Reviewer’s Guide Benchmarks

AMD’s own HD 7970 reviewer benchmarks have recently been leaked and have been reposted by 3DCenter.org. As you can see from the chart below, the numbers look pretty insane. According to AMD’s reviewer guide, the HD 7970 should perform ~1.6x better than the GTX 580.

Of course, it should be noted that these numbers are typically exaggerated so take these as general guidelines only. What do you guys think? Is it time to drop the ~$550 for a new HD 7970?
