Mouse click sounds aren’t an issue when you’re alone, but they may be annoying when you’re seated close to a co-worker or working in a public space such as a library. Cherry’s new Gentix Silent mouse aims to solve that problem.
Unlike your typical mouse, the Cherry Gentix Silent uses a new Cherry silent switch that eliminates the sound of button clicks. It comes equipped with a 1,000DPI optical sensor, which may not be enough for gamers, but more than enough for office or library work. The ergonomic, symmetrical design is suitable for ambidextrous use and its flat, compact profile also makes it easier to lug around, although you’ll have to deal with cables on this one.
