HP recently launched their new Z2 Mini workstation PC designed for creative applications.
Featuring a form factor of just 8.5 x 8.5 x 2.28 in, HP claims that the HP Z2 Mini workstation is 90% smaller than a traditional business tower system allowing it to be mounted pretty much anywhere including monitors, above or below desks, walls, etc.
Despite its compact size, the HP Z2 Mini Workstation is still very powerful featuring an Intel Xeon E3 or Core i3/i5/i7 processor, up to 32GB DDR4 RAM, Quadro M620 workstation graphics, and HDD/SSD or HP Z TurboDrive storage.
The HP Z2 Mini Workstation is also packed with tons of connectivity options including DisplayPort 1.2, USB-C 3.1, USB-A 3.0, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and more.
“The HP Z2 Mini, the world’s first mini workstation, delivers breakthrough power and versatility in a small, iconic design,” said Jeff Wood, vice president and general manager, Workstations and Thin Clients, HP Inc. “HP redefined the workstation in 2009 with the introduction of the HP Z series, and now once again is disrupting the category with the new HP Z2 Mini Workstation — the ultimate combination of space efficiency, elegance and power for our customers and partners.”
The HP Z2 Mini Workstation is expected to retail starting at $699 when it launches in December.
