Kingston’s HyperX brand has been aggressively expanding into the gaming peripherals market and their latest introduction is the ALLOY FPS mechanical gaming keyboard designed specifically for FPS gamers.
While many gaming keyboards go for the more “gamer” look with macro keys, LCD screens, embedded CPUs, etc., HyperX’s ALLOY FPS keeps it minimalistic by not only going with a basic full sized keyboard design, but also keeping the entire keyboard as compact as possible. According to HyperX, this “space-saving layout allowing gamers to maximize desktop real estate for FPS mouse movement.”
Despite the minimalistic design, HyperX still manages to fit all the features you’d expect from a premium mechanical keyboard including Cherry MX Blue keyswitches (clicky, 50g actuation force), full N-key rollover functionality, durable steel alloy frame, detachable braided cable, USB charging port, and red LED backlighting with six preset modes.
