Microsoft will end support for Windows 10 version 1507 (RTM) on May 9th, 2017.
The software giant has announced that it will stop providing security updates to computers running on Windows 10 1507 as it’s way outdated. This presents the user with a simple ultimatum: update to newer versions or face security risks.
This change will affect all Windows 10 editions including Home, Professional, Education, and Enterprise. Microsoft has said that the old operating system will not stop functioning, but will become more vulnerable to attacks and viruses.
The latest Windows 10 update went live on April 11. The Windows 10 Creators Update heavily focused on 3D, VR, interface re-designs, and overhauls to existing features such as Microsoft Edge. Check out a list of new features here.
