Back at CES this year, we got an exclusive look at a then prototype 1440p, 30-144Hz IPS FreeSync-enabled gaming monitor from our friends at Nixeus, now it has a name and is available for purchase today.
The all-new Nixeus EDG 27 retails for $499, making it one of the best values for a high-end gaming monitor available, and the world’s first FreeSync monitor pairing a variable refresh rate range of 30-144Hz with an IPS display and a 1440p resolution.
It’s clear that Nixeus looks to have a real contender on its hands with the EDG 27, but we’ll have to wait until we can test it ourselves before we can say for sure. Still, anyone in the market for a high-end FreeSync gaming monitor should probably consider this option.
