Players of Blizzard’s Overwatch will be thrilled to know that Overwatch’s Halloween Terror Event running from October 11 – November 1 is now live on Patch 1.4.0.2, confirming earlier info found on the Overwatch Taiwan’s official website and several less concrete rumors that have been circulating the community leading up to today.
This long awaited limited time event will follow similarly to the Summer Olympics event format with glowing Jack-O’-Lantern lootboxes, providing over 100 event exclusive skins, voice lines, highlights and other customization collectibles, and spooky altercations to the Hollywood map. And as usual, all cosmetic modifications will be permanent even post Halloween Terror allowing active players to flaunt their newest gear in front of their jealous peers.
In addition to the mass of the new cosmetics that are available to tempt your wallet, Blizzard is also rolling out a new game mode – Junskenstein’s Revenge. This co-op PVE brawl will force players to choose from four heroes: Hanzo, Ana, Soldier 76 and Mcree to battle against waves of zomnic assaults. It will be interesting to see what strategies players in the community will formulate and, whether or not, there are any secret Easter eggs hidden away.
