Patriot Memory recently announced a couple more flagship SSDs just in time for CeBIT. These new SSDs, dubbed the Wildfire SE and Wildfire Pro, will be yet another SandForce SF-2281 based SSD boasting read/write speeds of up to 550MB/s and 500MB/s respectively.
The Wildfire SE is expected to be available in the traditional capacities of 120GB, 240GB and 480GB and be backed by a pretty standard 3 year warranty while the Wildfire Pro is expected to be available in some strange capacities (massive over-provisioning?) of 100GB and 200GB, but will be backed with a 5 year warranty. (YAY!)
Pricing, availability and performance is still unknown at this time, but I’d venture to say these should perform a tad bit faster than the current Wildfire. Burn, baby burn.
