In an OOPS! moment for Plantronics, they’ve accidentally leaked their upcoming GameCom 780 7.1 Surround Sound Headset and it actually looks pretty good.
This headset will include virtual 7.1 surround sound produced by Dolby Headphone and Pro Logic IIx technology. Additionally, it will be powered through a 6.5 foot long USB cable and each can will feature 40mm drivers. There’s also a noise cancelling swivel microphone that is included as well as an on ear volume control wheel and a mute switch.
No word on availability or pricing yet, but I’m thinking this will probably be released CES 2012. Agreed?
